Activities

Since 1989, Trio Group has been dedicated to supporting classical musicians by offering them a platform to perform. Our current supported artists are violinist Kanon Yasuzuka and pianist Yuki Asano, whose concerts we are sponsoring.


Recent Activities

Here are scenes from Kanon Yasutsuka’s violin concert, sponsored by Trio Group, held in Hiroshima on Saturday, August 2nd.
          
          

And here are some scenes from the “Kagaribi no Saiten: A Festival of Bonfires, A-Bomb Dome, Opposite Bank, Violin Performance,” held on Tuesday, August 5. Everyone came together, uniting their hearts in a prayer for peace.

Artist Introduction

Violin
Kanon Yasuzuka

Trio Group Certified Mécénat Activities student, currently enrolled in her first year at Toho Gakuen College of Music, having graduated from Toho Girls’ High School. She was awarded First Place at The North International Music Competition 2023, and was a finalist in the 77th All Japan Student Music Competition Tokyo Round. She also secured First Place in the Middle School Division of the String Instrument category at the 22nd Great Wall Cup International Music Competition. Further accolades include Second Place at the 1st Grandir Music Competition National Final, and Second Place in Section III: Youth Division at the 22nd Osaka International Music Competition. She received the “Rising Star Media Award” at the Special Venue Music Award held at Carnegie Hall. She has completed masterclasses at the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig (Germany), Zurich University of the Arts (Switzerland), George Enescu National University of Arts (Romania), and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Austria). She has been honored with the “Maple Award” from the Hiroshima Prefectural Board of Education and the “Hatsukaichi Sakura Award” from Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. She has performed as a soloist in the NHK Hiroshima Broadcasting Station x Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra ~Dream Project~, and also as a soloist in “The MOST in JAPAN 2021” Hiroshima performance. She played in the opening performance of the 11th Akioota International Music Festival with Bechstein. She has received numerous awards and performed extensively both in Japan and internationally. She has studied violin under Yumino Toyota, Naoko Murakami, Hideaki Nakamura, and Rennosuke Fukuda, and composition under Tomohiro Moriyama.

Piano
Yuki Asano

Born in Aichi Prefecture. Graduated from Meiwa High School’s music department in Aichi Prefecture, then went on to complete a master’s degree at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
She won first place and the Grand Prize in the 15th Tokyo Piano Competition, General A Division, as well as the Spanish Music Prize. She was also awarded the top prize at both the high school and university divisions of the Japan Classic Music Competition National Tournament, performing with an orchestra at the prizewinners’ concert. She has received numerous other awards.
She has performed with the Nagoya Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Yuko Tanaka, and has appeared in concerts at venues such as KAWAI Omotesando and Bösendorfer Tokyo.
She is a 2024 scholarship recipient of the Sadao Yamada Music Foundation. Currently, she is based in the Kanto and Aichi regions, performing as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. She is also actively involved in outreach programs at elementary schools and independently organizes concerts for parents and children with vocalists and string players.
